Molecular aggregates studied by time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy

People involved: Villy Sundström
Former members: Hynek Němec

This project is related to the following Fields, Subjects and Techniques:

Fields: Ultrafast Chemistry, Physics and Biology
Subjects: Photosynthesis
Techniques: Time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy

Motivation

Supra-molecular aggregates of various Bacteriochlorins can act as efficient light-harvesting complexes. However, little is known about charge transport in these systems. Studies using time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy allow us to learn about charge carrier dynamics in these materials.
