Dates: September 23-24, 2024 (2 full days) Location: Kemicentrum, Lecture Hall G, Sölvegatan 39, 223 62, Lund, Sweden Participation: Free of charge
Deadline for registration: 13th September
Organizers: Ivan Scheblykin and Alexander Marunchenko (Lund University)
General Information
We are pleased to announce the Third Perovskite Workshop in Lund, focusing on “Multi-Timescale Processes in Dynamic Metal Halide Perovskites: From Fundamentals to Applications.” The previous workshops were held in August 2019 and May 2023 (https://www.chemphys.lu.se/news/perovskite-workshop-2023/)
This two-day event aims to foster in-depth, informal, and open scientific discussions among participants, who are all active researchers in the perovskite field.
Unlike conventional conferences, our workshop encourages critical dialogue and the exploration of areas where understanding is still evolving and where observations and theories may conflict.
Format of the Talks
The workshop is structured to facilitate meaningful scientific exchange. Each talk is allotted a time slot (around 50 min) equally divided between the presentation and the subsequent discussion (50/50). This format is intended to promote engagement and critical discussion among participants. As a participant, you are expected to prepare your presentation in order to stimulate in-depth scientific conversation rather than just disseminate information and “show off”.
We are honored to have the following esteemed speakers confirmed for this workshop:
Juan Bisquert, ITQ-UPV, Spain
Thomas Kirchartz, Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany
Prashant Kamat, University of Notre Dame, USA
Simon Kahmann, University of Cambridge (UK)/TU Chemnitz (Germany)
Silvia Motti, University of Southampton, Southampton, United Kingdom
Hannes Hempel, Helmholtz-Zentrum, Germany
David Cahen, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel
Ivan Scheblykin, Lund University, Sweden
Juan Galisteo-López,Institute of Materials Science of Sevilla, Spain
Ziming Chen, Imperial College London, UK
Tönu Pullerits, Lund University, Sweden
How I can participate
To participate in the Workshop in Lund, students and postdocs are encouraged to submit posters related to the multi-timescale dynamics of metal halide perovskites. Relevant topics include charge carrier dynamics, phase segregation and its control, ion migration, diffusion of carriers and ways of its estimation, dynamics of defects, and ways to increase device stability. Submit your inquires to Prof. Ivan Scheblykin by email ivan.scheblykin@chemphys.lu.se Deadline for registration is 13th September.
Instructions on How to Get to Lund
From Copenhagen Airport to Lund: Arrive at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) and proceed to the train station within the airport.
