Amitav Sahu
About
About: Amitav completed his Ph.D. from the Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India (2019–2024), under the guidance of Prof. Vivek Tiwari. During his Ph.D., he developed a high-sensitivity fluorescence-detected multidimensional electronic spectrometer, which he applied to photosynthetic cells to investigate ultrafast energy transfer processes. He also contributed to developing theoretical models to understand the interplay of vibrational and electronic motions driving these ultrafast processes.
Currently, Amitav is a postdoctoral researcher in the Chemical Physics Division at Lund University, associated with Prof. Tonu Pullerits’ group. His research focuses on understanding ultrafast polariton (hybrid light-matter state) dynamics using fluorescence- and photocurrent-detected multidimensional spectroscopy.
