Welcome to the division of Chemical Physics! To get you working in the laser labs, we need to fix laser safety education and formalities first.

The procedure is as follows:

a)     Take and complete online “Laser safety course” by Lund University. The course consists of two short videos (Introduction to lasers and Laser Safety) and a quiz. After successful completion of the course, you will receive an official LU certificate to your e-mail. Please download this certificate and rename it to "Laser_safety_course_certificate_My full name.pdf""

• Guide for LU students and employees (with LUCAT identity)
  (direct link to course)
• Guide for visitors (without LUCAT identity)

b)     Read the "Additional safety regulations and guidelines for Chemical Physics", with specific focus to the laser work.

c)      Talk to your laser lab responsible person fill the form for each lab that you will use. Finish the form by getting the signature from the lab responsible. 

d)     Scan in the filled form and send the certificate from the course (a) and the filled form (c) to the Laser safety responsible via email. Use the context line (replace "My full name" with your name) "Laser_safety_course_certificate_My full name" and send it to jens.uhlig@chemphys.lu.se

The whole procedure should take less than an hour.  Feel free to reach out to me or your lab manager if you have any concerns about your safety at work.
